Beliefs & Values
The Holy Scriptures, Old and New Testaments, are the written Word of God, given by divine inspiration. The inspired authors spoke and wrote as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.
We value sound doctrines for the local congregation as described by Paul in his letter to Titus and exemplified by the Apostolic church in the first few chapters of the book of Acts.
Beliefs
The Holy Scriptures, Old and New Testaments, are the written Word of God, given by divine inspiration. The inspired authors spoke and wrote as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. In this Word, God has committed to humanity the knowledge necessary for salvation. The Holy Scriptures are the supreme, authoritative, and the infallible revelation of His will. They are the standard of character, the test of experience, the definitive revealer of doctrines, and the trustworthy record of God’s acts in history. (Ps. 119:105; Prov. 30:5, 6; Isa. 8:20; John 17:17; 1 Thess. 2:13; 2 Tim. 3:16, 17; Heb. 4:12; 2 Peter 1:20, 21.)
Values
We value sound doctrines for the local congregation as described by Paul in his letter to Titus and exemplified by the Apostolic church in the first few chapters of the book of Acts. Our Christian practice provides credible witness for the faith we profess (James letter, Hebrews 12:14-15). We strive to serve with a good level of professionalism and integrity as demonstrated by Joseph in Egypt, Daniel in Babylon, and Esther in Persia. We evangelize in obedience to Christ’s command to go into the world and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things He commanded (Matthew 28:19-20). We serve in order to continue the work of Christ who came to the world to serve (Mark 10:45). Christ mingled with people as one who desired their good. He showed sympathy for them, ministered to their needs, and won their confidence. Then He invited them to follow Him (Ministry of Healing 73.4).
Exodus 34:6
God is the creator, the one and only king of the universe (Isaiah 46:9-10); He is omnipresent, omniscient, and omnipotent, but merciful and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness
